I am going to be in a group show coming up real soon here in NYC. It’s called “Seduction: Queer Visions of Masculinity”. I have two of my latest pieces in the show up for grabs so come on out and see. Please note that a generous portion of the sales will benefit the Lesbian,Gay,Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, so bring your piggy bank. Of course, I know some of you won’t be able to make it to the show, so I’ve decided to be nice and show you what you’re missing (from me, anyways). The two handsome gents (shown below) are 5×7 inches, ink and watercolor.

So it’s been a while since my last post about half-shirts and 80s fashion. I thought I’d do a quick follow up here to share a bit more of the same. I found this the other day and it just seemed too fun to not share. It’s from a video called “Muscle Motion” and featured Chippendales dancers circa 1988. Gotta love these short shorts and tube socks, right? The voice over is hilarious and makes me think that the viewer isn’t watching for fitness purposes (although it’s one helluva workout). iSo until I get some more sketches prepared, please do enjoy the following:

I am VERY excited about movies lately. Why? Two words: Ryan Reynolds.
He’s in full body spandex and a snappy blond buzz cut in the new movie “Paper Man”. He plays the imaginary hero that haunts the imagination of an insecure middle-aged man (played by Jeff Daniels). Well, I certainly wouldn’t mind him haunting MY imagination.

OK. Now take a deep breath and imagine Mr.Reynolds doing this NUDE. Because that’s the costume he’s wearing in the new Green Lantern movie. Yup. He’s letting it all hang out apparently. Well… I’m sure there’s a flesh colored speedo or something, but seriously his costume is reported to be all CGI (computer generated). I just hope that the DVD will have the untouched, behind the scenes footage in the bonus extras. If so… they won’t be able to keep them on the shelf! OK. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m in need of a cold shower.

"Drawn Together" works on paper art show

The show also includes a “Big Wall of Little Drawings” featuring hundreds of unframed pieces at affordable prices.

As I previously mentioned: two pages from my erotic, gay romance comic “Second Chances” (written by Dale Lazarov) will be hanging in the show and copies of the completed story are for sale as a self published mini comic at the front desk. I will also have original work available for purchase in a portfolio as well as several works included in the “Big Wall of Little Drawings”.

Not quite sure why it’s not up on the gallery website, but my guess is that it’s going to be up soon. Hope to see you there!

"Drawn Together" SOHO art exhibition

The New Year has been good to me thus far because I’m included in a SOHO art gallery show here in NYC! The Leslie Lohman gallery (26 Wooster Street, Manhattan) is having a show entitled “Drawn Together” this February. The show will include non-digital media depicting images of homosexual friendship, love, and lust.

Two of my pages from my erotic comic, “Second Chances” will be framed and the gallery has agreed to sell copies of my self-published mini comic. The comic is pre-packed with a set of four Foxy Andy post cards and sells for $10. If you’re in Manhattan, stop by the gallery and pick up a copy! Note that my original comic pages will be available for sale, too!

Also included in the show are several small works that will be a part of a “Big Wall of Little Drawings” which features artwork ranging in size from 8 x 10 inches to about 5 x 6 inches.

Lastly, I will have several large pieces on paper available in a portfolio. Here will be some life model drawings as well as a few hand colored ink drawings.

Foxy Zaso

Some of you people may be familiar with actor, film maker and “celebrated horror himbo” Joe Zaso, but in case you’re not… well, here’s your chance! Yours truly has teamed up with Joe to create a stunning new portrait. Joe’s got one heck of a bod and devilish good looks to boot, so it wasn’t too difficult to come up with this winner.

This “foxy” portrait is somewhat inspired by Joe’s new movie “Barricade” available on Amazon (along with many others). The 8×10 will be professionally printed, autographed, and made available to fans in the next few weeks, so check back here soon for details.
